Authorities have identified a 60-year-old woman killed in a November 1, 2009 Orange County car accident as Cheryl Louise Jordan of San Diego. The Orange County Register reports that the accident occurred near the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Hon Avenue in Laguna Hills when a 27-year-old man hit the vehicle in which Jordan was a passenger from behind.

The driver of the car Jordan was riding in, suffered head injuries and was taken to an area hospital where he has been listed in critical condition. Jordan died at the scene. Officials are looking into whether the 27-year-old driver who caused the accident suffered a medical condition as a result of which he passed out before crashing. That driver and his 4-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries.
