An October 18, 2009 San Diego car accident seriously injured a teenager and led to the arrest of two other teens on hit-and-run charges. According to 10News, the injury accident occurred at Beyer Way and Picador Boulevard in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego.

A 17-year-old boy was heading eastbound when his car was struck by an SUV. The driver of the SUV did not stop at the scene of the crash. However, another driver pursued the SUV and alerted authorities. Police later located the SUV and arrested both occupants. The arrestees were identified only as teenagers. The injured victim was transported to an area hospital. He is said to have sustained major injuries including a collapsed lung, ruptured spleen and a broken clavicle.

I sympathize with this young man who has been seriously injured in this hit-and-run car accident. I'm relieved that the suspect has been apprehended. I hope and pray that the injured teenager has a speedy and full recovery.
