Mission Viejo wife and mother of two, Loree Glenn, has successfully completed a grueling 545-mile Aids/Lifecycle bike ride that led her from San Francisco to Los Angeles in seven days. With the support of her family, friends and sponsor -- the Newport Beach personal injury lawyers at BISNAR | CHASE -- Loree was able to exceeded her fund raising goal by 27.5% this year.
Loree's support will truly be going to a worthy cause. There are currently 1.1 million Americans who have HIV. This is the highest number in the history of the pandemic. After completing the tiresome seven day journey Loree said that her journey was extremely meaningful this year. She also said that "with the current economic climate and the way many philanthropic organizations are struggling, I was determined to push myself as hard as I could to raise as much money as I did this year."
This was Loree's third year participating in the AIDS/Lifecycle event. Although Loree was much better prepared for this year's journey, she was still faced with a number of obstacles. A few challenges that stood between Loree and the finish line included a gigantic back to back hill know as the "Evil Twins" and the "Quadbuster." Loree was not alone in her struggle to finish this year's AIDS/Lifecycle event. Her tent mate found herself being rush to the emergency medical tent due to dehydration during one of the rides.
"Following Loree throughout this journey and witnessing the support of her family and friends to help her achieve her goals has been extremely motivational," said John Bisnar of the BISNAR | CHASE law firm. "This is a prime example of what one person can do, as an activist, to make a difference in the lives of millions of people. We're proud to be Loree's sponsor this year, and we look forward to being her sponsor in future ALC rides."
