Accident Causes

According to this news report, it is not clear exactly why Hernandez lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. This report does not state that Hernandez was speeding, under the influence or driving recklessly. So, there are several questions that come up here. Was there a vehicle defect or a mechanical malfunction in the motorcycle that caused Hernandez to lose control of it? Was there any debris on the roadway that he was trying to avoid or could not avoid in time? Did a dangerous roadway condition or a defective roadway design play a part in this fatal crash? These are all important questions to ask in such cases. I truly hope the Hernandez family gets some answers soon.

Liability Issues

If an auto product defect caused this accident, then the maker of the defective product could be held liable for Hernandez's wrongful death. If this accident was caused by a dangerous or defective roadway, the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining that roadway could be held liable as well.
