Accident News For Attorneys, the Legal Field & the Public
Officials have identified a man who was killed in a San Bernardino car accident as 52-year-old Robert Leever of Highland, according to a news report in The Press-Enterprise. Leever was driving his car the night of October 25, 2009 near the street intersection of Perris Hills Park Road and Pacific Street in San Bernardino when he lost control of his car. The vehicle then struck a guardrail and a fence. The collision left the car hanging on the edge of a flood control channel. Leever was pronounced dead while two of his passengers sustained injuries in the crash.
My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Robert Leever. This is surely a tragic and heartbreaking loss for his family and friends. I hope the injured victims have a quick and complete recovery. Leever's family will be in my prayers.
Car Accident Causes
Authorities are looking into how or why this car accident occurred. And right now, we do not have all the answers. There is the possibility that this accident was caused by an auto product defect or a mechanical malfunction in the vehicle that Leever was driving. Leever may have lost control of his car because of a dangerous condition on the roadway. He may have also been run off the roadway by another vehicle. In such injury accident cases, there are many possible explanations and all avenues must be explored to determine whether someone else's negligence could have caused the accident.
According to California Highway Patrol's traffic accident statistics in 2007, 32 people died and 1,177 sustained injuries in San Bernardino car accidents. Countywide, 308 deaths and 9,920 injuries were reported as a result of car accidents during the same period.
Liability Issues in Car Accidents
In a car accident case where auto product liability issues are involved, it is in the victim's best interest to preserve the vehicle it its current damaged condition so it can be examined by an expert for any evidence of product defects or malfunctions. If another negligent driver's actions had led to this crash then, that individual could be held liable for the accident and resulting injuries. Victims of serious car accidents would be well-advised to consult with an experienced California personal injury attorney who can give them more information about their legal rights and options and secure fair compensation for their injuries, damages and loss.

My daughter was in the passenger seat of this accident she suffers from a fractured skull, and had bleeding on the brain. also neck and back pains. The car airbags did not deploy and the guardrail is the reason all the damage to the car. If you google or yahoo map the location and look at the guardrail it was damaged from prior accidents and never repaired.
